I'm guessing Alex had low sperm count with minimum mobility. After 6 months, Jackie was still not pregnant. But Alex had at least learned how to "sex her up" better. She stopped falling asleep during the act at least. In desperation, Jackie hooked up with a co worker at lunch one day. He was a nice guy, he looked A LOT like Alex and she figured who would know? It worked, she assumed, she got pregnant. She let Alex's mother know and she was very excited. She started building a baby room in her home. She knew Alex was not a father figure. She knew Jackie wasn't interested in being a real mom. They agreed to just leave Alex out of the equation. Jackie broke up with him after getting him interested in her female co worker who wanted a friend with benefits just for stress relief. Her co worker was prettier than Jackie with much bigger boobs so it wasn't hard.
The baby was a little girl, she looked just like Jackie, Grandma was happy, she adopteded little Marie and Jackie let her co worker know he was off the hook for child support.
